Say hello to the only krispie squares recipe you’ll ever need! This version is a fun twist on the original Rice Krispie squares we all know and love, but sooo much better! Adding some Froot Loops and Captain Crunch cereals elevates these gooey, spring-coloured treats to another level!! Whether you make these for your family or for just yourself (trust us, we don’t judge!) drink ’em with milk or your fave Starbucks drink, we know you’ll be obsessed!
Froot Loops Krispie Squares
1 stick unsalted butter (1/2 cup)
80 large marshmallows
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
6 cups rice krispies
3 cups fruit loops
2 cups captain crunch
Butter a 9×13 baking dish. Melt butter and marshmallows together over low heat until smooth. Turn off heat and add vanilla. Quickly stir in all the cereal and stir to combine. Pat with a greased spoon into prepared dish. Try and let them harden for about an hour (good luck with that!!!). Cut into squares.
I like to enjoy these for breakfast (of course!!) with my Starbucks iced latte and Claudia likes to eat them straight from the pan!!
We’ll be talking about these squares and some other springy things on our podcast tomorrow because Monday means a new Mother Daughter Podcast!!
